US TARIFF WATCH
Current charges to you at US customs border are 10% of cost plus $14-$16 clearance fee = $47.20 (September 2025)
Our hand-built solid state homage to the line-output section of 'The Big Trees'.
To guitarists the 'Fake Plastic Trees' immediately feels like being plugged into a super-responsive valve amp. The Class A amp-drive tones you have striven towards are all available here.
For producers and engineers the 'Fake Plastic Trees' is an effective way to inject some excitement into a workhorse amp, add some analogue spice in front of a DAW, or even use as a hardware plugin. A small but mighty audio multitool infusing shots of inspiration to spring-board inspirational performances or unlock tricky mix situations.
"I really can’t overstate just how much tonal variety there is, despite being really only three controls that change the sound. There are already so many different characters to be found using just the EQ and Gain controls, but the 'Fake Plastic Trees' is also nicely responsive to your performance dynamic and your guitar’s volume/tone settings." - Simon Small www.soundonsound.com
"Loving it. So musical and flexible. Gives an otherwise flat amp some dimension. And can punch out some fat clean and super squeeze small amp tones too. Especially with the bass cranked. Very expressive. I think the key is a no master volume amp. It really shines there.
i was gonna stop several times but i kept playing to see what else i could get from it—so many sounds—modern and old.” - Joe Barresi
"The pedal is meant to emulate an EL84 tube through a JFET transistor. From crushing high gain to transparent low gain, this pedal is a testament to Audio Kitchen's drive to create one-of-a-kind pedals." - Russo Music
